The Incredible Travel Adventure Here (Part I) - The Flight
5 am. Bright and early. we started our day today by packing up all our life for 2 months into a van, saying goodbye to our home, and most sad-en-ing-ly (probably a real word?) we said bye to the 15 or so people we have been doing life with for the past 4 amazing months. after that, we got to the airport. It was a breeze, security - cake. and the wait wasnt much. basically what im saying is finding myself in seat 32 A, with snacks above head, and the tv infront of me, all systems appeared to be go. the personal tv was amazing, tv shows, movies and gaming. raf and i played multiplayer battleship against each other for hours. and the Man vs. Wild episode was mind blowing. also i bought and brought along my world cup magazine and a book. and of course the classic gameboy. basically what im getting at was entertainment was not an issue. actually, it was almost when i looked at the 'time to destination' that i read it as "only 7 h 3o mins left" as opposed to "still 7 h 30 mins" ok so i would also be remiss not to mention the food. i know people talk about air plane food: this that, this that... but really. it was superb. i had a chicken roast with potatoes for lunch and a beef goulash stroganoff for dinner. it really makes me understand why raf has been holding that grudge from when i didnt wake him for food on the way to australia. in fact, im almost on his side now. but those were beauty AND it only gets better. after the flight it was about 2 am australian time, but really on 3 pm in S.A. where we landed. andddd that means... dinner soon! we got back to cedric's (an amazing guy were staying with, id go on more about him but really not time) youll hear later forsure. and we ate an amazing spaghetti dinner. Nothing sets up an amazing day like two dinners. so the craziest part of it all ( as i gotta wrap up, running out of internet time) is i was so entertained in the 14 hours of plane travel that my ipod currently sits at 95%. i didnt even have to use the ipod charger, that every seat was fully equipped with. so yes amazing flight and thankfully safe travels. im just hoping for more of the same with our next couple days.
